Debbie Mewbourne, MS, ARNP-C, OCN, CBCN

Debbie has been an oncology nurse for over fifteen years.  She earned an under-graduate degree in nursing at The University of Central Oklahoma, and a Master’s Degree in nursing at the University of Oklahoma.  Before pursuing graduate studies, she worked as an oncology nurse at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City and at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa; as well as clinic nurse for Cancer Care Associates for the past 10 years.  The majority of Debbie’s nursing experience has been in the field of Oncology. She received an award, from the Oklahoma Society of Clinical Oncology, in recognition of her efforts as an Oncology Nurse Patient Advocate, in 2005.

 

Debbie is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is also recognized as a Certified Breast Care Nurse and an Oncology Certified Nurse by the Oncology Nursing Society. She is involved in several nursing organizations both at the state and local levels.

 

Debbie will see you while you are on active treatment and during your follow-up.  She is skilled in performing comprehensive assessments, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing appropriate treatments, ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiographic data and educating patients and their families.  She will collaborate with your physician, and is dedicated to providing the highest quality care with compassion and professionalism.
