Sandy Simmons, ARNP, AOCN

Sandy has been an oncology nurse since 1982, first receiving a diploma in nursing from Baptist System School of nursing, followed by bachelors of nursing and most recent a master’s degree of nursing in 2001 from University of Missouri at Kansas City. She holds two certifications as a nurse practitioner, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as well as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse.

 

She believes cancer affects patients and families in every aspect of their lives, and tries to care for the whole person, evaluating the psychological, spiritual and social needs, as well as physical problems.
